Harper and Jolynn

The Young Princesses were a Handful but an Enjoyable Handful

Harper and Jolynn added a lot of fun. They are good flyers are can entertain each other for good stretches at times. Jolynn took all the opportunities to show off her dancing skills. She's always able to attract a crowd.

Watch out, she got a knife, albeit, a table knife.

Something of importance up there

Jolynn's favorite snack, corn on the cob.

Did I mention that she is a dancer? Well, for those of you who haven't had the pleasure of seeing her dance, trust me, she is a dancer. Jolynn dancing with Carter while Harper looks on.

They can't get enough of each other.

Spending Mom and Dad's birthday night with Mimi and Papa.

Someone has to distract her.

Another proud moment in outdoor seating with coffee trees in the background.

She loves climbing into cupboards

...and on tables

...and then feeling proud of her accomplishment. Can you blame her?

Liberia Here We Come

Liberia

We rented this beautiful gem of a house about 10 clicks outside the city of Liberia. 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, perfect for our traveling party of 7 adults and 2 kids. This is our comfort zone, the opportunity to mingle with locals; stopping on the roadsides to buy fruits and veggies; using Google translate to communicate; all the good stuff of traveling.

What a great find...a Craft Market and Cafe...local craft on the cheap and great tasting local food.

Of course, Jolynn heard music, started dancing, then got smitten by a waitstaff.

Crispy fried Red Snapper with fried pounded plantains and salad.
Em wanted me to share this close-up...
...and my destruction! I made the locals proud.

Fishing Tuesday

Deepsea Fishing

It was a treat to go deepsea fishing. Aaron, Luke, and I hopped on a boat and head out to sea with two crew members. We were elated to catch a big one after about 3 hours catching baitfish. We were a little disappointed that the boat crew shows little interest in continuing to fish after this catch. We were really hoping to get a Mahi Mahi. Note to self* shop around before deciding on a boat and be prepared to walk away even if you paid a deposit...make sure it's a small deposit or none.

We were able to keep this fish and two small tuna that the Seafood restaurant (The Oceana) prepared for us for dinner. They were fillet, cubbed, and grilled to perfection.

It was a catch and let go.

Excellent dinner from our catch of the day.

Adventure Monday

Enjoying What the Resort has to Offer +

In addition to what you see in the pics, there was a tremendous amount of food and drinks of all kinds. Did I say it was overwhelming? On top of that, you can get room service anytime you want.

Some stayed at the resort to enjoy its amenities, while others (Tucky, Judy, Viki, Luke, and Em went zip lining).

Justin playing Chess with Jolynn. I played with Harper but she makes her own rules :-)

Up Next, Tuesday Fishing...
