Clinics in Takeo Province

Takeo Province is where the real medical mission works begin. We are scheduled to visit three rural villages in the province in 5 days and expect to see an average of 250 clients.

Our home base for the next 6 days is at the beautiful Alice Villa hotel. Hotel grounds pics follow...

Clinic

The first day went better than expected compared to the chaotic stories of the past two missions. Sherry commanded her position in the pharmacy, while Prov, with the help of local village organizers, spearheaded crowd control and handed out a gift of flipflops and bath soap to everyone seen by a mission provider. Sam and Prov also played a game of soccer with school kids.
All of the Budha compounds have great looking pagodas that serve the entire community and travellers from other communities. There you are fed and given a place to sleep, with the only caveat that you do not misbehave and are willing to share some blood with the mosquitoes.
