Hoi An Overload

To make the best use of our time, we decided to explore Hoi An some more. Our hotel receptionist suggested taking a boat ride to town.  We showed up and to our surprise, she just walked us across the busy road down a little path onto a rickety "dock, and we hopped on.  It was really fun. We meandered down the country river passing fishing nets, spotting some beautiful birds, a water snake swimming across the water and ended up in the old town.

The first rain since leaving Cambodia drove us to shelter in a bar with a window view. As the rain eased up, we head out looking for a massage (easy find in these parts) then late lunch.

Another foot picture.  We have at least one group one on all of our travels together.  Not sure it is coffee table worthy but it is fun!

We had a lot of fun working with (haggling, fooling, and laughing) with the staff of both the tailor shop and the shoe shop.

With Shoes, blazers, and trousers in hand, we headed back to the hotel for one last time night. Lee and John needed to head back to town to pick up another purchase (Lee's new prescription glasses)...success!

Next stop...Ha Long Bay via taxi to Da Nang airport...
