Vientiane-Day 2

Patuxay Monument
After breakfast, we started the day knowing we wanted to visit a wood carving shop that gives back to the community, and the Patuxay Monument. With the aid of a savvy Tuk Tuk driver, we were able to also visit Pha That Luang, the gold-covered Buddhist stupa in the center of Vientiane. This complex, like others, has some great statues and you just can't help but take pictures.

Our second stop was at the Potuxay Monument, just a block or two from the Stupa. It cost a small fee to climb to the top of the of the Monument for some great city views.
