Qui Nho'n, Viet-Nam

Casa Marina Resort
We left Ho Chi Minh City headed north towards the city of Qui Nho'n.  It was an interesting 50 min flight for Sherry who got the inside nervous giggles wondering if she booked the right flight.  We were headed to the ocean and when we landed there was no water to be seen by air or land, also no western tourist looking types on the flight! Thankfully we had prearranged a taxi and knew we were in the right spot when we saw our names!  40 min later we arrived at our destination the Casa Marina Resort. This is a region of Viet-Nam less traveled by western tourists so we hope to be exposed to a more local way of living.  We realize how fortunate we are to be here now.  There is a lot of planned development so in 5 years it will not be off the beaten track.

Our room at Casa Marina
We celebrated our 30th Anniversary with a great lunch and a bottle of wine.  Casa had upgraded our room to a great ocean view.

Beach food was recommended by others at the resort and on TripAdvisor. Local villagers sell fresh seafood of the beach. You buy, they cook and serve right on the beach. What a great experience, communication with a wide language barrier but able to understand and be rewarded with a delicious meal in exchange for at $35 US.
Select your shellfish and fish of choice
Beach where restaurants, resorts, and locals compete for business. These beaches are famous for their round boats.
