Da Nang is a coastal city in central Viet-Nam with just over 1 million people. It was once a French colonial port. It is the halfway point between the capital Hanoi, in the north and Ho Chi Minh City in the south. The Han River separates the city into two sections. There are a number of bridges that connect the two sections, the most famous of which is the Dragon Bridge, the longest in Viet-Nam and has 6 lanes of traffic.
We wandered around after our train rider, it was pretty hot. lots of people out and it seemed everywhere we looked some man was peeing! In the evening we relaxed at the welcoming Orange Hotel. Next day, it is off to Ba Na Hills and then Hoi An. The hotel arranged it all. Our driver for the day was about $30.00
