We escaped Trang heat with a 1-hour van drive to the coast and hopped on a small local Ferry boat for a 20-minute ride to the island of Ko Libong in the Andaman Sea. Upon unloading at the dock, which looked like pathways and buildings held together with sticks and magic, we were greeted by a young lady who grabbed Sherry's backpack, asked us where we are going, then led us to her Tuk Tuk, all before we can even respond or acknowledged that we did need a taxi.

After a 20 minute ride on a narrow road, through rubber tree plantations and having to get off and walk a couple times on the dirt road to the resort, we arrived at the west facing
Libong Relax Beach Resort. This is an island less traveled, so even though it is their high season, it is really relaxed, quiet, and beautiful.
The beach water is rather warm (more so than any other I've experienced in the Caribbean) known for its high fluctuation between low and high tides. The low tide reveals a shallow rocky seabed (see pics below) which is a cause for the water being so warm. Low tide starts at dusk while high tide begins around 10 AM.

The people are warm and friendly, the accommodation is a sweet bungalow with a bathroom, our own deck and front yard area facing the water.
The bar and restaurant are attentive to needs and requests. They quickly and quietly left the bar at one point and I noticed them trying to get a centipede out. Prov helped them out, we are part of the gang. The sunset is gorgeous here and it is calm and quiet. No AC but with the ceiling fan it got kinda cold last night, so not needed. For the first time in 6 weeks, we slept with natural air.
