Train Ride to Nam Tok

Come to think about it, there are lots of things to do and places to see in the Kanchanaburi area, Thailand. Numerous tours are available on a one-day, two-day, or 3-day variety. We took a one-day train ride to Nam Tok, the last stop on the River Kwai railroad on the border with Myanmar, about 62 kilometers (38.5 miles) outside Kanchanaburi. Though very hot, it was a beautiful ride for only 200 Baht each, round trip.

The train was filled on the journey to Nam Tok. Luckily, we got on at the beginning of the journey and were able to secure seats.

Nam Tok is situated between rugged stone mountains
Kanchanaburi is a prime starting point for the many attractions, including Nam Tok, Sai Yok Noi Waterfall, Erawan Waterfalls, Sai Yok Noi National Park, and Hellfire Pass, to name a few.
