The White Temple


Our taxi dropped us off at the entrance to the White Temple in Chiang Rai, and we quickly realized this was more like a Theme Park than a place of worship. The main temple and the rest of the grouds is a work of art. It is stunningly beautiful. It is a modern temple, buses of tourists visit every day.  It is less than 20 years old and quickly became a major attraction.  The white is about purity and is a direct contrast to all other colorful temples we have seen,  Some of the art and sculptures represent depravity and the contrast they represent.
